Bass
I had started making basses in 2004, I'd have one of my good friends who was the bass player in the area help me with refining it. He passed away a couple years later, and I'd kind of left basses behind for several years. I had a couple of new ideas I wanted to try so brought out the Orion Headless and the Pegasus Acoustic. Both incorporated the quick release neck joint which allows you to swap out necks quickly. While generally well received, the original configuration using standard machine heads only allowed for a 4 string model. Back to the drawing board and I now have the new and improved Orion 4 string available now, the 5 string is very close to being ready, and the configuration will support a 6 string version.
If you were wondering why a quick release neck, it's simple: Options. You can get scale lengths from 30 to 35 inches, fretted or fretless and multiple fret board options for no extra cost. Neck changes and re-tunings take about 2-3 minutes. For some people, that's a better option than taking a 2nd bass along, but it's your choice.
This page will be expanding as I get all of the new models dialed in.
Priced from
$3,200 to $4,500.
