Mission Statement
I build premium guitars that play and sound amazing. I do not cut corners in construction. As a sole proprietor of a 1 person shop, the only person I have to answer to is you, the customer. I feel that you should be able to get the exact guitar you want without being shuffled off to a "Custom shop" and charged double or triple price, just to get a few options changed to your own preference.
Biography
I started playing guitar in 1985 when I was 15 , then started building them as part of a thesis project for design school in 1995. After that, I worked on refining the design until 2000, when I decided to start commercially making guitars for sale.
In addition to that, I was in the U. S. Army, stationed in Germany from 1988 through 1990, when I was discharged and started school at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. After graduating with BA's in Design and Art, I moved to California where I became a professional model maker. It was there that I was first introduced into CNC machining and the possibilities it opened up in carving wood. I lived in California for a couple of years before relocating to Arizona with the company I worked for. After a couple of years there, I decided I would rather be my own boss and start my own company.
During the last 17 years, I've worked as a contract model maker, machinist, volunteer fire fighter, EMT, and am now working full time as a Registered Nurse.
I have realized that where I am happiest in life is making guitars, and I am working towards getting back to that full time. I'm still working as a volunteer fire fighter as I believe in giving back to the community. I'm hoping that with your support, I can start moving back into making guitars a full time business again.
